The Challenge

Jackson D. Tilley is a culture marketing consultant competing for work that normally goes to agencies — brand partnerships, talent advisory, branded entertainment, publicity. A conventional consultant site would have flattened the exact thing he sells: taste, cultural fluency, and the ability to make something people want to talk about. The site had to be proof of the service rather than a description of it, while still carrying dense service copy, press quotes, a published book, and three separate enquiry routes.

The Approach

We built Tilleywood — a fantastical Los Angeles rendered as an explorable isometric city, where each service line occupies a real LA landmark. Rodeo Drive for partnership consulting, the Griffith Observatory for cultural insights, The Last Bookstore for branded entertainment, the Polo Lounge for brand strategy, Sunset Tower for strategic communications, CAA for creative development, Musso & Frank for talent advisory. Visitors arrive through a cinematic intro, then drag across the map; selecting a building flips the city aside and opens that service in place. Built in Webflow with GSAP and Flip driving the transitions and Dragdealer handling the pan, on a CMS-driven location model so every landmark stays client-editable — plus a sound layer, a landmark index for direct navigation, and a three-route contact modal covering general enquiries, case study requests and roster access.

The Work

The Results

Tilleywood replaced a CV with a world. Eight landmarks carry the full service offer without a single conventional services page, and the brand’s positioning — storytelling, iconic brands, and the power of culture to move them — is argued by the interface before a visitor reads a word. The CMS keeps every location editable by the client, and the map has since doubled as a calling card in rooms where attention is the whole currency.
