Creative Agency in Lisbon
Strategy, data intelligence, and design for organisations that cannot afford to guess. Headquartered in Lisbon, working across Portugal, Europe, and further afield.
BC Agency is a creative agency based in Lisbon. We partner with organisations in complex sectors — aerospace, defence, public policy, health, and consumer brands operating at scale — where a claim has to survive contact with regulators, investors, journalists, and the public.
That constraint shapes how we work. Research, data, and creative sit in one studio rather than across three suppliers, so the evidence behind an idea is built at the same time as the idea itself. It is what we mean by bold, never reckless: the ambitious route becomes the safe one when you can show your working.
What we do from Lisbon
Six disciplines, one team. Most engagements draw on several at once rather than running in sequence.
Research & Insights
Mixed-methods studies designed around the decision they have to support. We run fieldwork across Portugal and Europe, in-language and on the ground, then turn it into dashboards and recommendations you can defend in a board meeting.
Brand & Experience
Positioning, identity systems, campaigns, and environments — built to hold together across every touchpoint and every market you operate in, not just the pitch deck.
Tech & Data Platforms
Dashboards, internal tooling, and data platforms that turn scattered information into something a leadership team can actually act on.
Behaviour Change & Policy
Evidence-based interventions that shift attitudes and actions at scale, measured against outcomes rather than impressions.
Community & Social Engagement
Channel strategy, content, and community management that earns attention instead of renting it — including in Portuguese, for Portuguese audiences.
AI Production
Production pipelines that use generative tooling where it genuinely helps, and conventional craft where it does not. We are candid about which is which.
The organisations we work with
We are not a general-practice agency, and we are straightforward about that. Our work concentrates where the stakes are high and the scrutiny is real — sectors in which a creative decision can carry regulatory, reputational, or safety consequences.
In practice that means clients who need their agency to understand the evidence base, not just the brief.
- Aerospace & aviation
- Defence & security
- Public policy & government
- Health & life sciences
- Energy & sustainability
- Scaling consumer brands
Proof, not promises
We rebuilt the brand of a European sustainable aircraft manufacturer and have worked alongside their team for four years. We modernised the digital presence of a 135-year-old American defence shipbuilder. We helped a Brazilian açaí brand scale into a global franchise. And we published original research into gender bias in AI image generation, because the questions worth asking are not always the ones a client is paying for.
Different sectors, same method: understand the evidence, then make something ambitious out of it.
Why work with a Lisbon agency
Lisbon is not a discount destination, and we do not sell it as one. What the city gives us is a deep, genuinely multilingual talent pool, a time zone that works for both European and North American clients, and a vantage point on Southern European and Lusophone markets that agencies in London or Berlin tend to observe from a distance.
It also keeps us honest. A studio this size cannot hide behind a large account-management layer, so the people you meet in the first conversation are the people doing the work.
We work with clients who never visit the studio and clients who are twenty minutes away in Parque das Nações. Both get the same team.
We work in English and Portuguese
Our default working language is English, and most of our client work is delivered in it. But we are a Portuguese company with native Portuguese speakers on the team, so research, copy, community management, and stakeholder engagement can all run in European Portuguese where the audience requires it.
If you would rather read this page in Portuguese, there is a Portuguese version.
Where to find us
Our studio is in Alcântara, in the west of Lisbon, between Estrela and the river. Visits are by appointment — email or call ahead and we will put the coffee on.
Frequently asked questions
- What kind of creative agency is BC Agency?
- We are an independent creative agency in Lisbon that combines research and data intelligence with brand, campaign, and digital work. We specialise in complex, highly scrutinised sectors — aerospace, defence, public policy, health, and consumer brands at scale — rather than working across every category.
- Where in Lisbon are you based?
- Our studio is at R. Gilberto Rola 65, 1350-154 Lisboa, in Alcântara. We are open Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00. Visits are by appointment.
- Do you only work with clients in Portugal?
- No. We are headquartered in Lisbon and work with clients across Portugal, Europe, and beyond — including long-running engagements in Germany and the United States. The studio was built around remote collaboration from the start, so distance is not the constraint it once was.
- Can you work in Portuguese?
- Yes. We are a Portuguese company with native European Portuguese speakers on the team. Research, copywriting, community management, and stakeholder engagement can all be delivered in Portuguese, and we work in other languages through local partners where a study or campaign demands it.
- How big does a project need to be?
- There is no fixed minimum, but our work suits organisations with a real decision to make rather than a one-off asset to produce. Engagements typically run from a focused research or brand sprint through to multi-year partnerships across several disciplines.
- How do projects usually start?
- With a conversation about the decision you are facing, before any discussion of deliverables. From there we scope the smallest piece of work that would meaningfully reduce the uncertainty — which is sometimes research, sometimes a positioning sprint, and occasionally advice that you do not need us yet.
